The new DigiCAM is a Digital Modular Camera System for fast and affordable aerial digital image acquisition. The DigiCAM system is based on approved components of well-established manufacturers. By using IGI's core competence in airborne developments, the components are modified and improved by IGI for airborne conditions and aerial survey applications. Together with IGI's CCNS and AEROcontrol systems the DigiCAM build a turn-key solution for an extremely fast and automated workflow for the generation of directly georeferenced images.

The DigiCAM is a medium-format airborne digital modular camera system for aerial image acquisition. The H series is based on a modular camera with now 39 Megapixel. The system is easy to handle and can be used in a variety of mounts. It can be used in fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, as well as for oblique operations.

The DigiCAM system is compact in size and can be combined for a multi-camera
configuration with two and more cameras or it can be operated simultaneously with a
LIDAR system, e.g. the LiteMapper.

With over 25 years of expertise in system integration of flight management systems and
GPS/IMU systems with all kinds of airborne sensors, IGI has again designed a robust system. IGI offers its well-known support for individual design, installation and training for acquisition which has been highly appreciated by the users.

Optional systems and items available with the DigiCAM are:

- The flight management system CCNS (Computer Controlled Navigation System)
   including IGIplan software for mission planning and documentation
- The GPS/IMU system AEROcontrol for direct georeferencing with the software
   AEROoffice for post-processing
- The LIDAR system LiteMapper (Airborne LIDAR Terrain Mapping System) for helicopter
   or fixed-wing aircraft

- Mount adapters for various camera mounts that take up to four cameras at once
- Additional storage units for large size area projects
